South Side PTO
Please reach out to your student's classroom teacher about joining the Parent Teacher Organization. South Side PTO meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm.
Room Mothers/Fathers
Teachers may ask parents if they would serve as a room mother/father for the year.
There are four parties during the year when treats are needed:
Fall [late October]
Christmas [mid-December]
Valentine’s Day [February]
Spring [March or April depending on the school year]
Duties may include:
Make sure that the classroom has everything needed for class parties (ex: cookies or cupcakes, drinks, and take home bags) for each child in that room

Remind parents providing treats that all juice boxes, gallon drink containers, etc., must be marked with the TEACHER’S NAME
Discuss food allergies with classroom teacher and remind parents providing treats of any food allergies
Discuss with the classroom teacher if they want GAMES or NO GAMES on party days
